Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a high school diploma or GED and two years of office support, clerical or secretarial work experience. Coursework in a vocational office support or closely related program may substitute for the work experience requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Summary of Work:

The primary duties of this position include composing and preparing legal and non-legal documents including summons and complaints, stipulations, motions, orders and correspondence for attorneys; ensuring documents are accurate and in the final form; providing legal documents to the Court for signature; preparing and forwarding documents to the various entities for service upon the parties in a timely manner; filing legal documents in accordance with rules of the Court and routing signed orders to the appropriate staff member for action.  The position will serve as a back-up to the secretarial unit for answering a multi-line telephone, responding to customer walk-ins at the office and back-up payment processing.  Other duties may include performing case file maintenance including filing paperwork in the case files, assisting with establishing new case files and scanning paperwork into the electronic system, processing incoming and outgoing mail and conducting general secretarial functions for the office.
