Case Management Team Member

We have openings on our Case Management Team and provide all necessary on the job training. This means you’ll be expected but not limited to perform the following:
• Evaluate applications for missing requirements. Assist agents in obtaining these requirements and follow up as necessary.
• Track status with the insurance carriers and troubleshoot any delays, issues, or inconsistencies.
• Make recommendations based on client medical conditions to agents on which carrier's product would be the best fit.
• In the event of an insurance carrier declining a policy, working with the agents on a possible solution with another carrier and advice on delivering the news to the clients.
• Review and process client applications while meeting deadlines in our custom, industry specific software system.
• Assist licensing department with updating agent information and verifying paperwork completion.
• Acquire & maintain a North Dakota insurance license. Your class hours, fees, and all expenses are covered by SIA. Personal production is not a requirement for this position.
• All members of our staff are expected to answer and route incoming calls as necessary.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree (prior insurance experience may be considered in lieu)
• Strong attention to detail
• Desire to make a difference
• Passion for delivering exceptional service & excellent team interaction skills
• Capability of handling difficult situations with poise and confidence
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and a natural affinity for technology
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, carry out routine duties independently, & manage workload so that priority is given to the most essential work
• Anticipating problems, recognize and initiate problem solving methods
• Sufficient knowledge & understanding of policies, procedures, & practices
• Exercise discretionary judgment in handling situations
